I wish you all a belated Happy New Year and I hope you took some time out to enjoy being with family and friends. If Christmas is your thing, I hope you had a good time with your family and that you tolerated each other well. Some of my family is Christian but I still enjoy catching up with them all – I always thought that was the most important thing about Christmas anyway.
Where have I been?
So I haven’t been on here much lately, because I have a three week holiday off work and have been busy seeing friends and family away from home. Right now I am writing this on my phone, which really isn’t the easiest. My time away has been grest though. Besides seeing family, I have done a few short hikes with friends and made the most of the beach (it is summer here in NZ).
An old gold mine tunnel through the gorge.
Mount Maunganui beach.
So yeah, it has been good fun. I am also going to do a trip ‘off the grid’ to Great Barrier Island too (not to be confused with the reef) as soon as the bad weather sorts itself out. So when I come back in mid-January I will be back into action.
Future blog ideas.
I want to diversify my blog a little this year. While I will still post on atheist and religion related topics, I would like to share some of my hobbies with you, in particular the different adventures I have been on. Here are a few of my upcoming blog ideas:
- Various hikes I have been on.
- My Australian outback adventure.
- My time at Great Barrier Island.
- Life after Christianity: does it have a purpose?
- My experiences when ‘coming out’ to my Christian friends and family.
- Exercise and fitness related topics.
Don’t worry, I’m not suddenly changing my blog, I’m just including more things in addition to what I cover already. Anyways I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
